Office — reached from the Manage Clinic link in the top bar — is the control room of CAPS28. Everything that defines how your practice runs is configured here once, and every other module (Appointments, Treatments, Labwork, Accounts) reads from these settings. If something looks wrong across the app — the wrong chairs on the scheduler, a missing lab in a job, a fee that won’t populate — the fix is almost always in Office.
The left-hand menu groups the settings into sections:
- General — clinic name and contact details, logo, tooth-numbering system, bill numbering, dashboard auto-refresh, clinic security and WhatsApp integration.
- Business Hours — regular weekly working hours and one-off special/holiday hours.
- Chairs — the operatories/chairs that become the columns of the appointment scheduler.
- Team — the users who can log in, their designation and their access rights.
- Laboratory — dental labs and work types for lab orders.
- Procedure & Fees — your fee for each procedure, plus custom procedures.
- Form Template and Consent Template — the forms and consents you send to patients.
- Reports — patient, appointment, treatment, transaction and lab reports.
- Reminders & Recalls — scheduled reminders and recall follow-ups.
- Subscription — your CAPS28 plan and SMS/WhatsApp message quota.
Who can see this: access to Office settings is governed by the user rights set on each team member, so only the owner and trusted staff typically manage the clinic.
