Procedure & Fees is your clinic’s price list. It sets the fee that flows into treatment planning and billing, so every charge is consistent and no one has to remember prices.
Standard Procedures & Fees
Procedures are organised into collapsible procedure types (diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontics, and so on). Each procedure shows its code, name and your fee — or “…” if you haven’t set one yet.
- Set / edit a fee — click the edit pencil on a procedure, enter the amount and save. That fee is now offered automatically whenever the procedure is planned in Treatments or added to a bill.
- Search by code — type a procedure code (e.g. D1110) and CAPS28 expands the right section and highlights the row.
Fees follow the standard ADA procedure catalogue, so the codes match what you already use for coding and claims.
Custom procedures
Need something the standard catalogue doesn’t list? The Custom Procedure page (linked from the top of Procedure & Fees) lets you define your own procedures so practice-specific services can still be planned and billed like any other.

Click Add and fill in a short procedure code, a name, the fee, an optional Area (the part of the mouth it applies to), and tick Is Labwork if the procedure involves a lab job. CAPS28 stores it under a custom code unique to your clinic, and it then behaves exactly like a standard procedure — selectable in treatment planning and billing. You can search your custom list by code, edit a procedure’s name/fee, or delete it (with a confirm). A link at the top switches back to the standard Procedure & Fees list.
