Manage chairs, which become the scheduler columns.

Dental operatory chairs setup in CAPS28 practice management software, each chair a column in the appointment scheduler
The Chairs list: each operatory becomes a column in the appointment scheduler; drag to reorder, Add New, edit or delete.

Chairs are your operatories — the physical units you book appointments into. Each chair here becomes a column in the appointment scheduler, so this short list has an outsized effect on how your day looks.

Managing chairs

  • Add New — opens a dialog; give the chair a name (for example Chair 1, Operatory 3) and Submit.
  • Reorder — drag and drop chairs into the sequence you want. The top-most chair is the first column in the scheduler, so put your most-used chair first. The new order saves automatically.
  • Edit — rename a chair.
  • Delete — remove a chair after confirming. Any appointments booked on a deleted chair will need to be rescheduled, so the prompt warns you first.

Because chairs drive the scheduler grid, keep the list to the operatories you actually use — a clean chair list keeps the day view readable.
