Business Hours tells CAPS28 when your practice is open. These hours shade the appointment scheduler so open and closed time is obvious, and they underpin booking validation.
Regular Hours
Each day of the week has an Open / Closed switch. Turn a day on and set one or more shifts — for example a morning session 09:00–13:00 and an afternoon session 14:00–18:00, with a lunch break in between.
- Add Shift — add a second (or third/fourth) session to a day for split hours.
- Remove — the trash icon deletes an extra shift.
- Save — the Save button appears the moment you change a day; each day is saved on its own.
Turning a day Closed clears its shifts. The order of days follows the week; the first open time of a day is where the scheduler starts.
Special Hours
The Special Hours button (top right) opens a separate screen for exceptions to the regular pattern — a public holiday when you’re shut, or a one-off Sunday clinic. A special-hours entry overrides the regular hours for that specific date, so the scheduler and availability reflect reality without you having to touch the weekly pattern.

Adding a special day
Click Add New, pick the date from the calendar, then set it Open or Closed. For an open day, add the shifts (one or more open–close windows, just like Regular Hours); for a holiday, leave it Closed. Save, and the date joins the list. Each listed special day can be deleted (with a confirm) once it has passed or is no longer needed. The Regular Hours button takes you back to the weekly pattern.
