The eight summary cards and what each count links to.

Dashboard summary cards for patients, appointments, treatments and lab work in CAPS28 dental software
The eight summary cards: patients, appointments, treatments, lab works, balances, pending transactions, chairs and users — each a live count and a click-through to its module.

The row of info cards across the top of the dashboard is your practice at a glance. Each card shows a live number and, on click, takes you to the module behind it. Here is what each one means.

The eight cards

  • Patients — the total number of patients registered in your clinic. Opens the Patients list.
  • Appointments — the count of upcoming appointments. Opens the Appointments calendar.
  • Treatments — procedures that are planned or in progress. Opens Treatments.
  • Lab Works — the number of pending lab jobs still out or awaiting fitting. Opens the Labworks list.
  • Balances — the total outstanding patient balance (money owed to the clinic), in your currency. Opens the Accounts summary.
  • Pending Transactions — the pending in/out amount not yet settled. Opens the Accounts summary.
  • Chairs — the number of chairs configured for the clinic.
  • Users — the number of team members with access.

Using them

The cards are read-only indicators — they never change data — but they are the fastest way to move around CAPS28. Hovering highlights a card in the practice yellow; a click is a one-step jump into that area. A quick scan tells you how busy the day is, how much money is outstanding, and whether lab work is piling up.
